I haven't dropped off the planet, it's camp.

So it's summer again and in my usual fashion I've managed to disappear from the blog-o-sphere for over a month again. I'm quite sure nobody really missed me here, but if so please let me know and prove me wrong. So in the lapse a lot has happened: I've been working at camp, SF Pride, the new iPhone came out and it's app store, some great movies came out, and a few new gadgets/toys as well.
So here I'll do a quick (hopefully) catch-up of the past two months.

So first off what long delayed posting would it be without me talking about how I've got a new solution to blogging? Well this one isn't much different, the only note is that in the giant gap I have been making notes and outlines of various thoughts and ideas I've had, so there's actually some stuff almost ready to go. So you CAN (for reals yo) expect a bunch of new stuff in the next few weeks.

Ok enough of that, let's get down to the recap, hopeful this won't be huge. (I bet $5 against myself.) So we left off back in June, the 16th to be precise, graduations. The rest of that week was leading up to another summer of camp at iD Tech. Friday morning the core crew of us were there at Stanford ready to start setting stuff up. Long story short there were major complications in terms of us being able to get into the houses among other delays. To top it off there was a major internet problem, yep, the internet broke. Oh, and camp starts on Monday. Tech camp, no internet, that's not going to work too well. So three of us (me and two others) ended up having the wonderful task of "saving the internet." The good news is that we were able to get things done by Sunday afternoon. Needless to say that didn't solve the remainder of things plaguing us. Week one was rough, and I mean it was really choppy. However we all survived.

At the end of that week I was off, as I always take week 2 off from camp. This year it worked out even better, that weekend was gay pride in SF. What a weekend it was. Pablo and I headed up to SF Saturday afternoon and met up with San and Will and shortly after re-split and we (me and Pablo) went to see Wall-E. Fucking amazing movie. (More on it in a latter entry.) After that I think it was food and off to the Castro for Pink Saturday. I say think as the details get very fuzzy at this point given how much I had to drink. We got some Kettle One from a corner store and I hit the bottles HARD. I know we ended up meeting with Sal and a few other people as well. There was a diner in there late night for food, and a cab ride back at the hotel Sal had gotten to crash at. Oh can't forget the vomiting, I was that far gone. Fortunately it was in a toilet (rather than street-side.) The following morning seemed like the worst hangover ever. It was bad down to the nausea. I actually had to jump ship off BART 3/4 of the way back to SF cuz I was feeling really sick. A banana and a gatorade later it's back to SF and watched some of the parade. The rest of it was wandering around the civic center and such checking out the myriad of things and free swag to pick up.

Ok moving along, this is already getting too long. The rest of the week was getting stuff together for July 4th. That proved to be another rocky event, but it went off well to those not involved. Speaking of which, I still haven't been paid! After that, it's back to camp. From this point (which is July 6th) 'till now it's been back to back weeks of camp with only a small slice (Saturday) of the weekend truly free. Interspersed in there was a drag show/pagent by the SF Gay Asian/Pacific islander Alliance (GAPA), something like that. As well as bit of clubbing and we can't forget seeing "The Dark Knight" on IMAX, that was awesome.
No forgetting the new 3G iPhone and the related app store. That device has REALLY expanded with the apps. The new MobileMe service seems to still be broken as of this time, bad timing on that one. I'm going to wait before making any major judgments on it. Still haven't figured when I'm going to get one (iPhone), probably after camp. Black 16GB iPhones are really hard to come by.

So more camp and such, oh we can't forget the virus that went/is going around! Norovirus has been hitting camps hard this summer. AKA: stomach flu, food poisoning, etc. I got it bad, was vomiting, nausea, sweats, etc. To top it all this happened at the end of the week where I got to talk to the parents! I've been ok since, but it's been progressively hitting most of the staff plus campers.

Ok this brings us to this weekend. Up to SF and Castro on Friday night. (May I note also was Summer Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, still need to watch that.) Saturday was the pinnacle, Pablo had gotten tickets for Projekt Revolution at Shoreline Amphitheater, the headlining act being Linkin Park. The best supporting act (my opinion) was The Bravery, I'd like to see them at their own show. Tho by far Linkin's performance that night was awesome. Nifty set, lighting was good, and their set progression and lead in's were awesome. The only major complaint is that it would've been nice to hear more from their new album. The old material is great stuff, but Minutes to Midnight offers so much as well. I really wanted to hear "In Pieces" which didn't happen. :( "No More Sorrow" was a notable performance (great track) in their set as was their intro with Street Drum Corps. Their incorporation into the show was really good.

Onto more camp for this week? Nope. I took this week off to work a load-in for Theatre Works. Granted there is only one week of camp after this one, but I really wanted a week off and being back in the theater is a welcome change from camp. Given I've got a week of not-camp work, I'm going to take the time to organize myself. This ranges from cleaning up my room to backing up my PowerBook and sending it in for the long needed service it needs.
I will be having more updates/posts in the next few weeks as I've got a deal of ideas and camp will be ending. After camp, hopefully more theater work and also the long spoken of DJ work. So there's the wrap-up, bam.

Some specialists argue that business loans aid a lot of people to live the way they want, just because they are able to feel free to buy needed goods. Furthermore, different banks offer short term loan for young and old people.
