MacWold '08– Day 3: expo day 2

So yesterday I went to the expo for another day. As of my first expo floor day I had only covered the north hall, and a brief run thru the west hall. Day 2 I went with Pablo to the expo. This was the first year I went more than one day. Given that this year's expo was rather large the multi-day approach was well worth it. Got a nice look of the west hall and another full run thru the south hall. Recap of more devices and some other stuff.

MacWorld '08- Photodump

Hey all long day today, but I wanted to get all of the photos up. They're on Facebook so if you're already there check it. If not:
See all of my Macworld 2008 photos here.

Update with the happenings of the day and other tech bits/stuff to check out later after I get some sleep.

MacWorld '08– Day 2: The expo

So today I woke up early yet again in efforts to actually make it to the expo and meet up with a friend as well as get a good run thru of the expo as a whole. I must say that the expo this year is quite large, so not disappointed with the offerings. Needless to say there's a bajillion booth selling various cases, there are also some good product offerings. So on to talking about some nifty products complete with photos!

Macworld '08– Day 1, post keynote, Apple Universe live podcast

So if you don't know Macworld Expo opened today, and I've been a long time Mac user. So as I am due for more entries and it's Macworld season these next set of days of entries is going to be centered around the expo. Due to the nature of when friends are going and that I have little commitments I will be going probably all (minus today) of the days to the expo. So if you don't care about such, you can skip reading for this week probably.
In this entry I'm going to go over stuff covered in the Keynote with some reactions. Also I helped out with a recording of Apple Universe podcast and there was a great panel of speakers so some stuff and thoughts from that.

A cousin visits- 5 Days of playing it straight.

So I promised in my entry the other day that I would talk about the past week and such, and also get up some photos and such. Well here it is! I just proved that I can get to doing blogstuff when I say I will. Let's hope I keep this up. New year right? So anyway this past week my cousin was in town (son of mom's brother), he's 28 and given that I'm the oldest kid and had no job it was my main task to entertain him/take care of things. It was good to see him again and we had a good time hanging out and whatnot. However by the nature of my connection with my family (minus my brother) it meant a week of playing it straight, extremely straight.

Urban Exploring: Mission A – Closed down supermarket

So hey all I've always had an interest in urban exploring and old bulidings and the story they can tell from what they used to house. Well it was a spur of the moment idea when I drove past this supermarket had the "ooh yeah that's right there used to be a [store name] there! Wow it's empty." I also immedatelly noticed a way to get inside. Thus I determined that I was goign to go urban explore it that night.
Now I managed to rope in my brother and my two friends Stephen and David. While only me and my brother actually explored the buliding interior (the cool part) Stephen and David actually provided a lookout. My brother took lots of photos, 120 to be exact. If you wanna jump straight to the photos, check em here. Read more for the full story behind the whole mission.
